G.W. Yount planted orchards, quarried stone, and raised a family on the banks of Timber Creek. The history of his time is kept alive through the Barns @ Timber Creek.

The original stone barn is on the National Historic Register and stands as a testament to the hard work of a fine craftsman. B&B hosts Martin and Cheryl Rude moved an 1890s post and beam barn to the property, reconstructed it and have added the comforts of today to the buildings of yesterday.
